Legislature approves supplemental budgets
OLYMPIA – The only losers are the sex offenders.
So said Senate Ways & Means Chair Margarita Prentice, D-Renton,
about the supplemental operating budget for 2005-07 passed by the
Legislature today. This year’s $1.6 billion in unbudgeted revenue
provided lawmakers a rare opportunity to address current needs and
save for future ones, according to Prentice.

from E. coli traced back to unpasteurized milk at the Dee Creek Farm
in Cowlitz County, a loophole in protecting public health from the
risks of raw milk became apparent.
