State lawmakers invite the public to
hear the state’s emerging issues
OLYMPIA – Public education, affordable housing,
healthcare and providing assistance to our military and
veterans are just a few of the topics for discussion at this
year’s town hall meetings with state legislators
representing the 29th Legislative District.
Sen. Rosa Franklin and
Rep. Steve Conway would like to invite the public to
attend a series of town hall meetings scheduled for early
February.
“Town hall meetings really help me to stay in touch with
my district’s needs,” said Franklin, who is vice chair of
the Senate Health & Long-Term Care Committee. “It is
important to hear their input.
“I always look forward to meeting with folks from the
district,” added Conway, Chair of the House Commerce and
Labor Committee. “Our meetings allow us to hear from
constituents on their priorities and concerns.”
This year’s town hall meetings are scheduled at the
following locations:
- Bates Technical College, South Campus, 2201
South 78th St., Tacoma
from 7–9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5
- South Park Community Center, 4851 S. Tacoma

from 10 a.m.–noon Saturday, Feb. 10.
