46th District constituents to be kept
in the loop through electronic newsletter
OLYMPIA – There is a new way to keep abreast of
issues facing Seattle. Sen. Ken Jacobsen, D-Seattle,
is launching an electronic newsletter to communicate with
his constituents.
“Keeping people informed on issues affecting their lives
is important to me,” Jacobsen said. “Launching this
e-newsletter is a way to keep people in the loop on the work
of the Legislature.”
Jacobsen plans on releasing periodic legislative updates
to his constituents. Recognizing not everyone has access to
a computer, he will continue to mail out a paper newsletter
at the end of the legislative session.
“We have to keep up with our information age,” Jacobsen
said. “This e-newsletter will allow me to provide updates
more frequently to my district at no cost.”
Constituents can sign up on his e-newsletter distribution
list and opt out of the service at any time. The
Legislature’s strict ethics policies prohibit the use of
legislative resources for campaign-related communications.
