Seattle senators working together for a
solution on the viaduct
OLYMPIA – Seattle Democratic senators met today to
discuss the Alaskan Way Viaduct and mutually agreed that it
will be a top priority for them to find a solution amidst
the recent meetings among legislative leaders, the City of
Seattle, and the governor.
Sens. Ken Jacobsen, Adam Kline, Jeanne Kohl-Welles, Ed
Murray, and Erik Poulsen issued the following
statement:
“We are working together for a satisfactory
solution that ensures that the values of Seattle
residents are respected. We are committed to listening
to the people of Seattle and ensuring that their voices
are heard in Olympia. We look forward to constructively
working with Governor Gregoire, legislative leaders and
the City of Seattle on a solution that benefits Seattle,
the Puget Sound area and the entire state.”
