Sen. Eide statement on $500,000 state contribution for new Federal Way performing arts center

OLYMPIA – Sen. Tracey J. Eide, D-Federal Way, released the following statement on securing $500,000 in funding toward a new Federal Way performing arts center. The funding was included in the state’s 2008 Supplemental Capital Budget.

“A new performing arts center is critical to the continued economic and civic development of Federal Way. During this year of frugal state spending, I’m very pleased that we were able to make a commitment to the City of Federal Way for the project. The city has really done their homework on plans for the center and the funding will help to get the ball rolling.”

Serving in the Senate since 1998, Eide is the Majority Floor Leader.
