Removing Unnecessary Barriers to Business Success
Our goal is to reduce the cost of doing business and improve Washington’s rankings in business environments.
Washington’s recent and current budget shortfalls make it imperative that we look for ways to make government more efficient and streamlined. A critical component of this is to foster a regulatory environment that enhances business investment and will be efficient, lean, timely, and provide certainty.
Senate Democrats propose:
- Creating working waterfronts by establishing a streamlined review process for a Marine Areas Redevelopment and Restoration Proejcts; (SB 6170)
- Updating and streamlining regulations delaying growth; (SB 6354 & SB 6356)
- Enhancing the capacity of the Office of Regulatory Assistance; and (SB 6359)
- Authorizing the State Auditor to oversee the implementation of the permitting bill of rights. (SB 6373)
