Schlicher speaks against Tacoma Narrows Bridge toll increase 5/20/2013

OLYMPIA - On Monday, Sen. Nathan Schlicher, D-Gig Harbor, made the following statement before the Washington State Transportation Commission, opposing a proposed 50-cent toll increase for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge:

"When I arrived in Olympia in January, addressing the costs of crossing the Tacoma Narrows Bridge was one of my top priorities. Everywhere I went, I heard from constituents asking me to help rein in the cost of crossing the Narrows.

Schlicher brings more than $14 million in construction to 26th District 4/9/2013

OLYMPIA - Projects to improve and enhance the parks, buildings and roads in the 26th District will receive over $14 million in state funding in the 2013-15 Capital Budget and additional funding through the Public Works Assistance Account.

"This is great news for our communities. Across our district, roofs need mending, roads need to be resurfaced and playgrounds and community centers need building," said Sen. Nathan Schlicher, D- Gig Harbor. "The money the state provides for these projects will create jobs, improve the infrastructure and enhance the lives of the people in the 26th."
