Ken Jacobsen

Biography

Senator Ken Jacobsen was born in Dannebrog, Nebraska and raised in Northeast Seattle. Ken is an alumnus of the University of Washington and Christchurch Teachers’ College in New Zealand. He is also an avid reader of history.

Ken is married to Rachel, a native of New Zealand, and the father of two grown daughters. In his spare time, he is an ardent bird watcher and backyard wildlife gardener.

Ken is involved with the New Zealanders of Seattle Club, the Seattle Christchurch Sister City Association, Northwest Dollars for Scholars and Scholarship America, the Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center, the Nordic Heritage Museum, and the Annual Raoul Wallenberg Dinner. He is also a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
